Hi everyone, welcome to In This One and the Next.

We’re Jenn and Katie. Two gals from the East Coast of Canada embarking on this social media journey while navigating the ins and outs of a new relationship, co-parenting, and integrating our lives.

A little about who we are.

I’m Katie. I’m a 41 year old, mom of 3. I separated from my husband of 14 years almost a year ago, and have spent the last year navigating that and trying to figure out who I am now and what I want this next chapter of my life to look like. I work full time in child and youth mental health, and when I’m not working, I’m usually running kids between the rink and the basketball court. I don’t have hobbies, because I’m a sports mom. But I’m trying to change that, and find better ways to look after my mind, body and soul through this tricky life stage.  

And I’m Jenna. I’m 33 years old, lover of sports and comedy. I’ve spent most of my 20s bouncing from place to place and trying every job possible in hopes to figure out who I was and create the life I wanted, feeling so sure of the path that I was on. Now having settled in a place for the longest I have been in my adult life, I’m hoping my journey of self-discovery will connect with some of you just trying to figure it all out.

We hope to use this space as a creative outlet, and to share our experiences navigating divorce, same sex partnership, coparenting/stepparenting, and just the ins and outs of creating a life together.
